Two views of happiness

Two views of happiness below. Note the last word in Elizabeth Gilbert’s quote – relentlessly. I take that to mean you can’t ever stop pursuing happiness. If you are influenced by the world you can’t ever be completely happy until you buy the latest and greatest stuff – cars, clothes, jewelry, travel, liquor, etc. And you do know that never ends, right?
See God’s solution in the last line of the Scripture from Luke. But everything will be provided to you if you relentlessly pursue God.

***************
"People tend to think that happiness is a stroke of luck, something that will descend like fine weather if you're fortunate. But happiness is the result of personal effort. You fight for it, strive for it, insist upon it, and sometimes even travel around the world looking for it. You have to participate relentlessly."

Elizabeth Gilbert

27 “Consider how the wild flowers grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 28 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you—you of little faith! 29 And do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink; do not worry about it. 30 For the pagan world runs after all such things, and your Father knows that you need them. 31 But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well.
Luke 12:27-31
